Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani:

Tonight we have a guest [Shaykh Fahmi Abdu ‘l-Qawwiyy] who will speak and I will translate.

Praise be to Allah (swt), Who listens to the one who asks Him and answers him and gives to him what he needs. He (Shaykh Fahmi) is making du`a asking Allah (swt) for `ilm and rizq. We seek refuge in Allah (swt) and we are asking Him to give us from the teaching of Sayyidina Sulayman (a) and from the teaching of Sayyidina Dawud (a), and give us from the rizq and provision that He gave Sayyidina Sulayman (r), and give us `ilm, knowledge and education that benefits us and not that which does not benefit us.

This I am not translating. [We are under the order of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani.] He is saying, “Thank you, that Shaykh Hisham is translating for me.” [End of translation.]

This meeting has made my heart move about something of the Prophet (s) and Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r); something happened when he migrated from Mecca to Madinah and took with him Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r). As they were on the way, Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) was walking together with the Prophet (s), one time from his right, one time from his back, one time from his left, one time from his right, he wanted to cover and check on the Prophet (s) from every place. This is the love, this is the true love coming from Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) to the Prophet (s), and inshaa-Allah our love to the Prophet (s) also. We have to love the Prophet (s), a love that can contain us all!

The second position is when they hid themselves in the cave and Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) said to the Prophet (s), who is our master and the master of everyone, “Yaa Rasoolullah! If someone of the unbelievers looked at his feet he would have seen us in the Cave!” At that moment, the Prophet (s) brought something to make a meaning alive for every one us, and this is what we need for all of us in order to live in ourselves and in everyone else: that is the Companionship, the Companionship of Allah (swt).

And the Prophet (s) said to Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r), his friend and Companion, “What about two and Allah is the third one? What do you think of those whom Allah is with them? Allah is with us!”

إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ لاَ تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ اللّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَيْهِ

He said to his Companion, "Be not sad (or afraid), for surely Allah is with us." Then Allah sent down His sakeenah (calmness, tranquility, peace) upon him. (Surat at-Tawbah, 9:40)

He says to his friend, “Don’t be sad, Allah is with us.” Allah descends, manifests His Kindness, His Peacefulness on them. If we live in that meaning of that story of the Prophet (s) and Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r), then that tranquility will come on us. I will not be too long, I will finish with a verse of poetry by Sayyidina Imam Muhammad ibn Idrees ash-Shafi`i (r). He said:

If love of Ahl al-Bayt is the meaning of being outside of Islam,

Know that I am not outside of Islam, Raafidee.

If the love of the Prophet (s) and love of Ahl al-Bayt

is the connection to reach to Allah

That is what we do and we are going to love him forever,

Let it be whatever they say, our love is our life!
