The Virtues of Coming to Gatherings of Worship

Hajjah Naziha Adil Kabbani

8 June 2011 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Mashaa-Allah, mashaa-Allah, praying with all the lights from the blessings of Allah (swt). Alhamdulillah we are in the month of Rajab. It is a very special month because Allah (swt) is saying that it is His month. Shabaan is the month of Prophet Muhammad (s), and finally Ramadan is the month of his ummah. Alhamdulillah, we came in these holy months of the year. May Allah forgive us.

We also do dhikr in Rajab. Mashaa-Allah, seven days of Rajab have passed. Allah (swt) forgives people in Rajab. I am giving a lecture but I am not a lecturer. What I heard from my mom, Hajjah Anne (r), I am bringing those messages back.

We say that Rajab is “the month of prayer,” and these three months are the months of prayer. Who doesn’t pray during the year in my country, and I don’t know if in this country there are people who don’t pray, but during these three holy months people begin to pray and fast as much as they can so that Allah forgives them. May Allah grant us forgiveness because of these holy months, for the love of Prophet (s).

Sorry, my English is not proper. I like to talk more, but sometimes I get stuck. Shahr Rajab Mubarak to all of you, and inshaa-Allah shahr Shabaan Mubarak and shahr Ramadan Mubarak as well.

Inshaa-Allah we hope we will be able to go for Hajj this year. May Allah write for you to go for Hajj, inshaa-Allah, and to be in Mecca and to visit Sayyidina Muhammad (s) in Madinah, and to go to maqaams and pray there, inshaa-Allah.

May Allah protect us and protect our countries from what is happening in Arab countries. Allah will protect us inshaa-Allah. He doesn’t like Shaytan to enter between the governor and the citizens. Inshaa-Allah, may Allah give us a good president and grant us His mercy and for all humanity.

We are very weak servants of Allah (swt). We are trying our best like ants, little by little, and inshaa-Allah, Allah will raise our level in Paradise. Thank you for listening to this small lecture and we will begin to make Khatam Khawajagan inshaa-Allah. I will say a small story about those who come for Khatam Khawajagan.

My mom said, “Don’t think that you are coming here by car and walking, but you are walking on the wings of the angels.” Every step you take to come to the mosque and for circles of dhikr, you rise ten levels higher in Paradise, and ten bad manners are taken away and ten good manners are written for you. How many steps you are walking and how many miles you are coming?

Alhamdulillahi Rabbi ’l-`alameen, we are a small group today. Perhaps you are a bigger group but because of bad weather people were not able to come. This intention to come here is also written for them and us, alhamdulillah.

Thank you. May Allah (swt) keep us all gathered here and in the Hereafter, inshaa-Allah, with Sayyidina Muhammad (s), who knows our shaykh, Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani, may Allah give him long life inshaa-Allah and may we be with them inshaa-Allah ar-Rahman.

Fatihah.

(Khatm.)
