Seclusion Cave of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (q)

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

9 January 2014 Ajmer Sharif, India

(Video starts @ 8:58.)

[Mawlana enters the cave of seclusion. A miraculous event also took place here during a drought at the time of Sayyidina Moinuddin Chisti (q).]

Now whatever he did in this maqaam, they dressed us with that because we asked for the sake of Prophet (s) to dress us with his `uboodiyyah, his khalwah. Inshaa-Allah all of us on the Day of Judgment, all of us will be dressing from his thawb, his dress of imaan, Islam and ihsaan, inshaa-Allah.

Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

He used to sit on the floor to pray, but they covered it and here he used to sit for dhikr. Hajjah is saying this is like Arba`een, the cave of the Forty Awliya in Sham.

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem. (Du`a in Arabic.) Inshaa-Allah we asked and said to share with us first his `uboodiyya to Prophet (s) and this waliullah, whatever he did of seclusions and `uboodiyya and salaah and siyaam and zakaat, to dress us with him from that anwaar inshaa-Allah, and that on the Day of Judgment we appear with that noor like he is appearing, inshaa-Allah. We are being asked to make dhikr here.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,

nawaytu 'r-riyaadah, nawaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`alaa fee haadha 'l-maghaarah, magharaat Sayyideee Moinuddin Chisti (qs), yaa Rabbee, yaa Allah! Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah. [Khatm al-Khawajagan.]

Good tiding is the last part, when we were reciting ‘Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah’ with salawaat, a white hand came from that side. That is his hand and that means he took our hands to safety. He extended his hand for us, to take all of us towards the presence of Prophet (s) inshaa-Allah. Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

Inshaa-Allah this ziyara, he is happy that we did dhikr here. We did a small dhikr, but we must be happy also, more than happy, and to be satisfied because he let us to do dhikrullah or else he can close the door, then what you can do? Nothing. But with Mawlana’s barakah, his barakah and with Prophet’s blessings he extended his hand. Inshaa-Allah always his hand will be extended to us. That doesn’t mean that no other awliya will extend; no, all awliya!

Sayyidina Ahmad ar-Rifa`ee al-Kabeer, one of the great saints of Egypt, used to say, “From far away I used to send salaam to you, O Prophet (s)! Now I (my ghost) am coming to you, because there is dawlat al-haqaa’iq and dawlat al-ashbaah, hadrat al-haqaa’iq and hadrat al-ashbaah. Hadrat al-haqaa’iq is the reality! The real human being is Prophet (s), his body and his soul. Us, we are the imitation, we are the dawlat al-ashbaah, the ghosts, in the meaning that we have no existence, we are only like a ghost and we come as reflections of the original.

So he said to the Prophet (s), “I came to you from far away and I used to send my salaam to you, and now the one who is the ghost, a reflection, is coming in front of you. Please, yaa Rasoolullah (s), extend your hand to me for me to kiss it!” And a white hand came out of the grave of the Prophet (s) that Sayyidina Ahmad ar-Rifa`ee kissed, and all the people who were there kissed the hand of the Prophet (s). This happened one time with Sayyidina Ahmad ar-Rifa`ee.

It has been said by Grandshaykh `AbdAllah, may Allah bless his soul, that when Mahdi (a) comes, Sayyidina Yunus ath-Thaani, one of the great awliya who is living is going to ask the Prophet (s) to extend his hand for people to kiss. And he said that three-hundred will be invited to kiss the hand of Prophet (s). Inshaa-Allah may Allah make us from them! This is a sign today, that we saw that white hand coming to give that happiness to all of us inshaa-Allah.

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

Too many things happened, but you cannot say everything because they don’t give you permission or they don’t open for you. There are too many things, rewards that come from Allah (swt), but we cannot see, we are `aajiz, helpless. Inshaa-Allah Allah (swt) will dress us from their power. From their grave they are stronger than from dunya. May Allah forgive us.

[Mureeds enter the cave.] All of you outside are part of this blessing. I was closing my eyes and a white hand came and that finger was up (holding his thumb), very white like a light and then that hand came. That means the dhikr we did here was accepted and du`a was accepted. And with his hand he sent to take us inshaa-Allah to the presence of Prophet (s), with the barakah of Shaykh `AbdAllah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q) and Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani (q).

I explained about Sayyidina Yunus ath-Thaani, who is a big wali, that he was promised that when Sayyidina Mahdi (a) comes, just like Sayyidina Ahmed ar-Rifa`ee al-Kabeer, when he asked the Prophet (s) to kiss his hand there was a white hand that came from the grave of the Prophet (s) and Sayyidina Ahmed ar-Rifa`ee kissed it and many other people who were around there kissed the hand of Prophet (s). It is a very well-known story. I said this is similar, that he extended his hand, Sayyidina Moinuddin Chishti (q), which means, “I will help you so come with me, your ziyarah is accepted.” So Sayyidina Ahmed ar-Rifa`ee al-Kabeer said, “Dawlat al-ashbaah, we are ghosts! Please extend your hand for us to kiss,” and the hand came out. Dawlat al-ashbaah means “we are nothing.” So he was saying that in front of the Prophet (s), “We are nothing, yaa Rasoolullah (s). I came as nothing! Extend your hand for me to kiss.”

So Sayyidina Yunus ath-Thaani was promised that three-hundred of the Naqshbandi people will be kissing the hand of the Prophet (s) and after that all the ummah, inshaa-Allah. You can kiss, Mawlana said that by kissing one time you get knowledge; kissing is getting knowledge, not from the meaning of “kiss,” but when you kiss the knowledge will be poured into your heart. He said until 12,000 kisses! There will be people who will kiss 12,000 times and there are people who kiss one time, so different levels. Insha-Allah (we are) from the 12,000! And with every kiss more knowledge comes, more rahmah comes, more rahmah comes, more rahmah comes, 'l-faatihi limaa ughliq, it goes on inshaa-Allah.

Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

Thank you very much.
