Salaam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakutuh.

Alhamdulillahi ’Llladhee awsalanaa an natakhaatab wa natajaadal bil-hadeeth sawiyyatan limaa khayrun feeha maslahatan lil-muslimeen.

All praise be to Allah that brought us to address you and to discuss with you together and that is the best for improving the Muslims.

One person came to the Prophet (s) and said, “Give me something I can understand, awsinee, something I can take all my life to my death. (at-tawsiyya, “to give an advice;” wasiyya, “to take with us to the grave.”) He said, “awsinee yaa rasoolullah.” The Prophet (s) said one word, laa taghdab, “Don’t get angry.” If you get angry you lose everything.

A man came to the Prophet (s) and requested a long advice, saying, “The rules and conditions of Islam have become too much on me, with all these fiqh issues and too many different ahadeeth and too many things to do, it is all too much for me. Give me something that will be easy for me and easy for you.” It is an advice, tawsiyya for everyone. The Prophet (s) said, “Make your tongue wet with dhikrullah (don’t forget dhikrullah).”

The easiest and best that Allah likes from us is to say, “laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammad rasoolullah,” and anything that is best is meant for us to follow and the best tawsiyya to take from today up to the Day of Judgment. One of these beautiful tawsiyya the Prophet (s) mentioned to the Sahaabah (r) that you must do all the time and not forget was narrated by Sumrat ibn Jundub (r), that the Prophet (s) said, “The best words to Allah are four and whichever you begin with first, there is no problem, but you must recite them daily: subhaanAllah , walhamdulillah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah w’Allahu Akbar.”

These are for words in Holy Qur’an and they are Allah's Words that He likes His Servant to repeat, do recite them every day, and many people recite them after every prayer.

Abi Hurayrah (r) related that the Prophet (s) said, “For me to say ‘SubhaanAllah , walhamdulillah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah w’Allahu Akbar’ is more beloved to me than when the sun rises in the sky.”

It means, if I say this at bedtime and I die, I don't mind, and if the day comes or not, the last thing I said before I slept is “subhaanAllah , walhamdulillah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah w’Allahu Akbar,” what Allah loves most.

O Muslims! (Do this and you will benefit.)
