The Mercy at the End of Time

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

13 March 2014 Feltham, London, England

Suhbah & Ziyara to the Holy Hair (s) at Manor House

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

NaWaytu 'l-arba`een, naWaytu 'l-`itikaaf, naWaytu 'l-khalwah, naWaytu 'l-`uzlah,

naWaytu 'r-riyaadah, naWaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`alaa fee haadha 'l-masjid.

أدبني ربي فأحسن تأديبي

Adabanee rabbee fa’ahsana taa'deebee.

My Lord perfected my good manners and conduct. (Ibn `Asakir)

The Prophet (s) said, “Allah has perfected my discipline,” by saying:

أدبني ربي فأحسن تأديبي

Adabanee rabbee fa’ahsana taa'deebee.

My Lord perfected my good manners and conduct. (Ibn `Asakir)

Allahumma salli `ala Sayyidina Muhammad (s) wa `alaa aalihi. A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

Say, “Behold! My Sustainer grants abundant sustenance or gives it in scant measure to whomever He wills of His servants and whatever it be that you spend on others, He [always] replaces it for He is the Best of Providers.” (Surat Sabaa, 34:39)

“Whatever you give in Allah's Way you will find it;” it means whatever we spend on ourselves we don’t find it, but anything we spend in Allah's Way we find it. Some people are trying their best to be generous and to help, and we want to thank everyone who helped put this masjid together. Because of your help and because of you, even if you didn't give anything, you came and sat here that is enough that you have built a station for you in a House of Allah. On the Day of Judgment you are going to find that peice of where you are sitting witnessing for you that, “Yaa Rabbee, that person sat at that moment on that carpet praying to You.” Don’t think we lose anything from coming to the masjid.

And in another ayah:

وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَيْءٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تُظْلَمُونَ

Wa maa tunfiqoo min shay’in fee sabeelillaah yuwaffa ilaykum wa antum laa tuzhlamoon.

Whatever you shall spend in the cause of Allah shall be repaid to you, and you shall not be treated unjustly. (Surat al-Anfal, 8:60)

“Whatever you spend in Allah’s Way is for you and you are not doing that except for Allah (swt), nothing else. If someone gives, he is not giving to you; Allah takes it and Allah will reward you for it.” No one can reward you for something that is going to disappear; for example, you might give a gift to someone and he puts it in his living room, and any gift he gave to you, that is not going to reward you in Akhirah, that is for you and the guest who gave. But what you give to Allah (swt):

وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ

Wa maa tuqadimoo li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu `inda’Llah.

And whatever good you put forward for yourselves, you will find it with Allah.

(Surat al-Muzzammil, 73:20)

“Whatever you spend for Allah (swt), you will find it wherever you go.” That is our safety in Akhirah, that is our ticket! If you say, “O Allah, forgive me!” Allah will forgive, He will accept it, but there are levels there. But when you say, “Forgive me,” and you give, you help a poor or a sick person, or help someone for Allah’s sake, Allah will accept that and He will forgive you and save that for you in Akhirah. Everything you do of good, the sins will erase that good slowly, slowly. If you are building sins, with sins all your good will disappear except if you give from your own money, from your own wealth to Allah (swt); then you will find it and other than that you don’t find.

Innahum dhabahoo shaatan faqaal an-Nabi (s) maa baqiya minha? qaalat maa baqiya minhaa illa katifuhaa. qaala laa baqiya kulluhaa illa katifuhaa.

The Prophet (s) said to Sayyida `Ayesha (r) when one day they slaughtered a lamb, “What is left from the lamb that you slaughtered?” They had slaughtered and invited people. She said, “W’allahi there is nothing left but the shoulder.” The Prophet (s) said, “Don’t say like that.” She said, “Only the shoulder is left.” He said, “No, everything remained except the shoulder.” (Tirmidhi)

Understood, or not? It is a little bit complicated. For example, to understand that, if there are four quarters and one was left, then the Prophet (s) said, “Three-quarters are left,” because it is there in Akhirah. If we can say, the bank is there. So that is in your bank in Akhirah; you filled your safety deposit box. “So what is left is not the shoulder, yaa `Ayesha, but what is left is what you spend in the Way of Allah.” So when people give, that is what is left for them. What they spend in dunya and not in Allah’s Way it is not a concern, it is not accepted; we cannot say it is not accepted, but it is for dunya, it is not recommended.

I am bringing this issue because it is important for us to know. I can speak about ‘Paradise and Hoor al-`Ayn and so on, but that will not benefit you now, what benefits you now is what you will prepare for Akhirah and what we are preparing for Akhirah is what will benefit us to find Hoor al-`Ayn.

مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ

Maa naqasat sadaqatun min maal.

Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth. (Narrated by Abu Hurayrah; Muslim)

The Prophet (s) said, “Never is money less from a donation.” If you give 1,000 in donation, Allah will give you more than what you gave; if you give 100, Allah gives more than what you gave; if you give 10,000, Allah gives you more than what you gave! Never your bank account will drop from giving a sadaqa, but giving a sadaqa is what Allah likes.

So you want from Sufi haqeeqaat? Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, how many met Grandshaykh? How many heard of Grandshaykh? He said, and awliyaullah can say what they like to say, he said that, “One time in our awraad,” everyone reads:

`Alaa ashrafi ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.

`Alaa afdali ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.

`Alaa akmali ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.

Salawaatullahi ta`ala wa mala'ikatihi wa anbiya'ihi wa rusoolih wa jami`i khalqihi `alaa Muhammadin wa `alaa aali Muhammad, `alayhi wa `alayhimu ‘s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi ta`ala wa barakaatuhu, wa radiyallaahu tabaaraka wa ta`ala `an sadaatina as-haabi rasoolillaahi ajma`een, wa `ani taabi`eena bihim bi ihsaan, wa `ani ‘l-`ulama'i ‘l-muttaqeen, wa `ani ‘l-awliya'i ‘s-saaliheen, wa `am-mashayikhina fi ‘t-tareeqatin Naqshubandiyyati ‘l-`aliyya, qaddasallahu ta`ala arwaahahumu ’z-zakiya, wa nawwarallaahu ta`ala adrihatahumu ‘l-mubaaraka, a`adallaahu ta`ala `alayna min barakaatihim wa fuyoodaatihim daa'iman wa ‘l-hamdulillahi rabbi ‘l-`alameen. http://www.naqshbandi.org/practices/prayer/dawn/

He said that anyone who does that salawaat, Allah will reward him as if he is standing from Day One of Creation in the Divine Presence making salawaat on the Prophet (s) up to the Day of Judgment, for that one salawaat! “`Alaa ashrafi ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat. `Alaa afdali ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat. `Alaa akmali ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.” That is as if standing from the Day of Creation of Sayyidina Adam (a) up to Judgment Day in the Divine Presence and reciting salawaat, and that will all be rewarded to him. And that salawaat is coming from shaykh-to-shaykh until reaching Grandshaykh `AbdAllah (q)! We are doing it many, many years, and one day, I was reading in one manuscript, and that manuscript was written a long time ago. I read and I was surprised and amazed, because I found that salawaat, it was recited by Sayyidina `Ali (r). (Repeats.) That was the salawaat of Sayyidina `Ali (r) and for hundreds of years it has been read and no one knows it is in that book.

So you recite that salawaat one time and Allah rewards you endlessly, and Grandshaykh (q) said, Ibn `Abbas related that the Prophet (s) asked Sahaabah, “Who has the most astonishing, amazing faith, imaan?” What do you say, who has the most faith in all Creation? [Rasoolullah.] Rasoolullah is asking, as ibn `Abbas (r) is relating, who has the strongest faith?

They (r) said, “The angels.”

And the Prophet (s) said, “How are the angels not going to have the strongest faith when they are in Paradise and see what they see?"

They (r) said, “Prophets.”

And the Prophet (s) said, “How are the Prophets not going to have the strongest faith when they are receiving Revelation, risalat from Allah (swt)?"

And they (r) said, “Sahaabah.”

And the Prophet (s) said, “How are you not going to have strongest faith when you are with me?" And then he said, “They are a people coming who did not see me and they believed in me," which is the ummah today.

And Grandshaykh (q) adds to this, and there are many other narrations which are sahih, he said, “There is a continuation here because Sayyidina `Umar wanted to know. Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) and Sayyidina `Ali (r) and Sayyidina Uthman (r) were quiet, but Sayyidina `Umar (r) asked, “Yaa Rasoolullah can we see them?” The Prophet (s) said, as related from Grandshaykh (q), “They are going to be so high because their time is not going to be like our time, their time is difficult and they are holding religion as if holding burning coals in their hand, in that time when everything goes wrong.” Now everything is wrong. I don’t like to say it, but even our prayers, not wrong in doing it but wrong in timing, wrong in gossiping all kinds of things coming to your ears when you say, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ and sins and so on. “At that time, anyone who is holding his religion firmly, Allah will order because it is the Last Days, so Allah orders His Rahmah to descend on these people. This rahmah is coming with no account.”

That is this time we are in and if not for rahmatullah, we would be like Qawm Lut or Qawn Salih and `Aad. Qaum Lut is now everywhere, may Allah forgive us! Grandshaykh (q) said, “At that time, there is too much rahmah coming down.” If someone gave a dirham, the smallest money at that time, in the Way of Allah (swt), it is as if it is from the hands of Prophet to the hands of Prophet (s), as if he has put it in the hand of Prophet (s)! What you think, if it is in the hand of Prophet (s) how big will the rahmah be?

That is one thing and the second is, as Grandshaykh (q) is continuing the story, a summary of too many hadith. There will be a time that people stop putting `ammaa’im, turbans. It is said in the hadith of Prophet (s):

العمائم تيجان العرب، فإذا وضعوا العمائم وضعوا عزهم‏.‏

Al-`amaa'im tijaan al-`arab fa idhaa wada`oo ’l-`amaa'im wada`oo `izzahum.

Turbans are the crowns of the Arabs (i.e. Muslims). Whoever took them off, Allah lowered their honor. (ad-Daylami in Musnad al-Firdaws)

Aamaai’m are the crowns of Muslims and “Arab” here is (all) Muslims: whoever puts it, Allah puts him up; who puts it on the side, Allah puts him on the side; who puts it down, Allah puts that person down. I don’t want to open this subject, but I am told something is happening in one country, that they are being asked to take off their turbans. This is what we heard yesterday and the day before, and I didn’t want to say anything and now Mawlana is saying to say it and I am bringing the hadith of Prophet (s). In that area, where there are a group of Naqshbandi, they are asking each other to put their turbans down, no need for turbans. You heard that? So the hadith of Prophet (s) is enough for them to understand what is the reality. You cannot play taqiya, to hide your personality by doing something else; for example, you hide and drink in the bar. In the time of war, when there is kidnapping and killing taqiya is allowed; to hide your personality, your identity by doing things like them, it is allowed, but taking off your `amaa'im, you cannot play taqiya; one day you put it on and not the next day. If you want to do taqiya you must take the whole principle and do it fully, not take one part and leave what you don’t like. So the hadith of Prophet (s) that `amaa’im are the crown, do you want to have a crown on your head or not? You have to have a crown and this is your crown! Man wada`oohaa wada`Allahu `izzahum, “Whoever took them off, Allah lowered their honor.” Who put it down Allah will put down, and who honors it Allah will honor it. Many people feel ashamed or shy to go with the turban. I went to the White House with my turban and I went to the US State Department with my turban; I met with presidents and prime ministers around the world with my turban, because there is a king behind supporting us, a sultan! So don’t worry, don’t be afraid, you are carrying the sunnah of the Prophet (s) and what the Prophet (s) said about keeping one sunnah?

من احيا سنتي عند فساد أمتي فله أجر مائة شهيد

Man ahyaa sunnatee `inda fasaada ummatee falahu ajra miata shaheed.

There are people who continue to revive my sunnah. For each sunnah they revive, Allah will give them the reward of seventy martyrs (“100 martyrs,” in different riwaya.)

Whoever will revive the Sunnah in the Time of Corruption, when the Muslim ummah is corrupted, Allah will reward you like 100 shaheed, not only one shaheed. The Sahaabah (r) were dying to get one shaheed. Prophet (s) is saying, “You will get the reward of 100 shaheed,” but you must revive the Sunnah. This is a Sunnah (to wear a ring); it is so cheap and is so simple. Use a ring on your hand and then every moment you will get the reward of 100 shaheed, because the Prophet (s) used to have a ring on his finger so it is a Sunnah. Who raised his turban, who honors it and he puts it on, Allah will put him up. Who put it down, Allah will put him down.

O people, O neighbors, friends and brothers! Don’t put your turbans down, keep your turbans up! If you want to make peace between people, between different communities, do it with your turban, then you will get the barakah of Prophet (s) and the reward of 100 shaheed. Do you want the reward of 100 shaheed? Yes, then wear a ring, wear a turban and you will get the reward of 100 shaheeds. Allahu Akbar! Allah is Kareem. Mashaa-Allah, here most attendees are wearing turbans and may Allah bless us all.

So Grandshaykh, may Allah bless him, said, “If you wrap your turban,” and now it is big, but if you wrap it one time only, not two times, in this time, now how many times I am wrapping it? “If you wrap it one time, Allah (swt) will change all your salawaat, your obligations, they will be accepted when you put one wrap, not equal, not less, but by barakah of the Prophet (s), on every wrap of the turban you get the Maqaam as-Siddiq!” What you want more than that? If you pray one prayer with one wrap of the turban you get the level of the prayer of as-Siddiq; if you pray Fajr, it is as if you prayed Fajr with the level of Siddiq, you pray Zhuhr as the prayer of Siddiq, Asr, Maghrib, `Isha.

Never enter the bathroom with the turban. That is for the sunnah of the turban, and that is for giving sadaqa. Those who give sadaqa, Allah will give reward them from the hand of the Prophet (s) to the hand of the Prophet (s), in that time mentioned by the Prophet (s), which is this time inshaa-Allah.

And Sayyidina `Umar (r) said, “Yaa Rasoolullah, let me see them. Can I see them? Are they prophets like you?”

And Prophet (s) said, “No, they are normal people. What you (Sahaabah) are doing is like 90% and they will do like 10%, but they will get reward like yours.”

We are not doing like the Sahaabah, and this is what the Prophet (s) was saying. He was telling the Sahaabah, “My ummah, with just doing a little bit, will be able to do the 90%,” and what we are doing is only 10%. The heavy obligations that Sahaabah used to be under in the time of wars, they were leaving their families, not eating and drinking for days, carrying that difficulty and that load, and the Prophet (s) was telling them, “That will be 10% of what the others who come at the end of dunya will do, they will have 90%.”

And Sayyidina `Umar (r) said, “Can we see them?”

He said, “No, these people cannot be seen.”

Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, and who likes to hear likes to hear and who does not can close his ears. We have live internet and Wahhabis are waiting for one word (to criticize), but if you have a complaint go ask Grandshaykh, his grave is in Damascus! It is not me who is saying this, Grandshaykh is saying it. They pulled it out, he doesn’t want it to come out. So where we arrived? He said, “When he asked to see them, the Prophet (s) said, ‘No.’ And he insisted and the Prophet (s) said, ‘I am showing you the Naqshbandi ones,’ the ones that are traced to that Golden Chain!” And Grandshaykh said, “All of us appeared in the presence of the Prophet (s) by the barakah of the Golden Chain shuyook, by their power we appeared as souls in the presence of the Prophet (s)!” And Sayyidina `Umar (r) and the Sahaabah were looking at us and we were looking at them. For sure Wahhabis will be thrilled! It is big. It is something from a very high level of Ascension that Grandshaykh (q) was in, from a trance he was saying this. So we must be happy that Allah gave us to be Naqshbandi!

‘Naqshbandi,’ some people might like the name or not, but that is not important, what is important is what the Prophet (s) gave to Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r). We are the silsilah coming from Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r): it was Siddiqiyya, it was not Naqshbandi, we can call it ‘Siddiqiyya.’ When it came to Sayyidina Bayazid al-Bistami (q) it became ‘Tayfooriya’and when it came to Shah Bahauddin Naqshband (q) it became ‘Naqshbandiyya.’ And when it reached Sayyidina Ahmad al-Faruqi as-Sirhindi (q) it became ‘Mujaddadiyya,’ like it is with Chistiyya or Qadriyya and different tariqats. The chain is not important, but the importance is the awliyaullah in the chain; they are not children, they are living ones in their graves.

When I went there (to India) I was not believing what I was seeing. Let us say the truth: I was not believing what I was seeing in Delhi or Sirhind, or at Shaykh Nizamuddin Chisti, or in Ajmeer Shareef.

They said, “These awliyaullah have passed away.”

I said, “No they are alive!”

They said, “How do you know they are alive?”

I said, “It is proof that you are coming here, and they are bringing thousands of people here every day!”

“How?” one Wahhabi was asking me.

I said, “Count, how many are visiting Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab's grave and how many are visiting awliyaullah?”

You say thousands...Hazrat Nizamuddin Chisti? 10,000, 20,000 visiting every day, yes there are, from morning to midnight. SubhaanAllah, who is bringing them? We understand this happens in Mecca, Madinah, Masjid al-Aqsaa, and that is something else, Prophet (s) mentioned that, but these awliya, if they were not connected with Madinah it would be impossible for them to attract. It is from the secret of the Prophet (s), they are inheriting that secret, they are attracting people to their maqaams! Anyone visiting them, they intercede for that one on the Day of Judgment. You don’t go for nothing, there must be something there that they are going to do. So what is the best thing to do? To build up your Akhirah bank account. If you go now and get a vaccuum cleaner and clean the carpet (in this dargah), it is written for you in your Akhirah bank account. “Anyone who humbled himself to Allah (swt), Allah raised him up.”

So don’t argue with those who attack you, those who say what they like to say about you. Some people might not like you and whatever you do good, they don’t like you or they are jealous from you; they see what you are doing and they try to do the same and they cannot, so they get jealous. Don’t argue with them, let them curse what they like to say. What did Allah say?

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا

Inna-Llaaha yudaafi`u `ani ’Lladheena aamanoo.

Verily Allah will defend (from ill) those who believe. (Surat al-Hajj, 22:38)

“Allah will defend you,” not a lawyer. Do we have a lawyer here? Allah defends you better than 100 lawyers. How many years Sayyidina Yusuf was in jail? Thirty-seven years. Why? Why he went to jail? Because he didn't want to fall in sin. He was a prophet, a rasool and he was in prison. If a prophet is in prison, Sayyidina Yusuf, what about us? By name he was in prison, but that prison was a paradise for him. A paradise for us in this dunya is a prison for us, but for Sayyidina Yusuf (a) this dunya was a prison for him and the prison that he was in was a paradise! Why his brothers took him and put him in jail? You know his brothers were prophets, they were not ordinary people, they were prophets and they put him in the well. It’s good they didn’t kill him.

They were prophets, but why they acted like that is wisdom. Allah wanted them to it. The order is above good manners, al-amru fawqa al-adab. Do you know that? Al-amru fawqa al-adab, do you know that? If I give you an order, you have to do it even though it is against discipline. Sometimes the shaykh gives you an order which is against good manners, but you have to do it because it is an order. So they did that because something was coming to their hearts to do it; they didn't know what was making them to do it. Sayyidina Ya`qub (a) used to love his son Yusuf (a) so much, more than all his brothers; he was attached to him and he was taking his heart. If he did not see Yusuf within 24 hours he could not rest and he had to see Yusuf every day. That is a secret, tafajarat al-anwaaru min qabri ’n-Nabi (s). [Ali Elsayed recites the qaseeda:] “By Allah, were we able to see the Lights coming from the Prophet's Rawdah, from the Grave of the Prophet (s), from the Light of the Prophet (s) the Moon would disappear.” Not only the full Moon, the Sun would disappear! And one drop of that Light dressed Sayyidina Yusuf (a) that is why he became so beautiful that no one could take their eyes off him. That is why the wife of the king of Egypt could not take her eyes from him, Zaleeka, or as some call her, Zulaykha.

So Sayyidina Ya`qoob’s heart was always with his son, there was nothing in his heart except his son. He loved him, he loved him to death, crying, “Where is Yusuf?” He would sit with him. Allah did not like that. Allah's Will, iraadatullah was to make Yusuf to go to the well to be sent to Egypt to become the `azeez of Egypt, the highest ranked person of Egypt, the Governor of Egypt. And then his father cried because his other son, Bin Yameen (a) was taken by Yusuf, and the other brothers went and said to him, “Your son has stolen the king's pouch.” Then Sayyidina Ya`qoob kept crying as he lost both sons: Yusuf was gone and he was crying, and now Bin Yameen was gone and he was crying and became blind, which means he was blind from this dunya.

Allah revealed to him, “O Ya`qoob! You made a big mistake. Don't you know I am Ghayoor, possessive of My servant? Your heart must be to Me, not to your son, and because of that I made your son to be in the well and also in jail for 37 years.” So at that moment Sayyidina Yusuf (a) sent his shirt to his father and his father smelled the scent from that shirt and his eyes were opened (no more blindness), and from that time his love was to Allah only, not shareek to Allah, which Allah does not like. “You are putting Yusuf and Me in your heart? If you put Yusuf you put dunya, if you put Me you put Akhirah!”

O believers, O Muslims! Sadaqa is important as it will save you in dunya and Akhirah. Allah said to the Prophet (s), and I said it last night, khudh! “Take,” ordering the Prophet (s) to take:

خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ صَلاَتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَّهُمْ وَاللّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Khudh min amwaalihim sadaqatan tutahhiruhum wa tuzakkeehim bihaa wa salli `alayhim inna salaataka sakanun lahum w’Allahu samee`un `aleem.

Take alms of their wealth, from which you may purify them and make them grow, and pray for them. Verily, your prayer is an assuagement for them. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (Surat at-Tawbah, 9:103)

“Take charity from their wealth,” tutahhiruhum wa tuzakkeehim, “You clean them like cleaning a cloth and by that you purify them.” That is three-step. Take sadaqa by force; don’t listen to them. Take from their pockets, they are hiding their pockets. I said, “Go get some books,” only two or three people went. How? Can you not give ₤20, ₤30, £40 for a masjid? Any book you take for ₤10, more than ₤10 they don't have. Why? Because you have to “make them to give,” as if you are giving from hand of the Prophet (s) to hand of the Prophet (s). That is why I mentioned that story of Grandshaykh to you: your (sadaqa) is from the hand of the Prophet (s) to the hand of the Prophet (s)... you know what I mean. “Take from their wealth, don’t leave them to their ego, they will not give.” When the Prophet (s) asked, Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) brought, Sayyidina `Umar (r) brought, Sayyidina `Uthman and Sayyidina `Ali also brought and others.

The Prophet (s) asked Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r), “What did you leave to your family? How much have you brought here and how much did you leave behind?”

Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) said, “Yaa Rasoolullah, I brought everything to you, but I left the most expensive thing to them, I left you and Allah to them.”

The Prophet (s) asked Sayyidina `Umar (r), “What did you leave your family?”

Sayyidina `Umar (r) said, “I left half and brought half.”

And the Prophet (s) said, “Your imaan is half of that of Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r).

Even though in another hadith the Prophet (s) said that if there would be another prophet Sayyidina `Umar (r) would be him. Imagine how high the imaan of Sayyidina Abu Bakr (r) is and how much is his power. And Sayyidina `Uthman (r) brought seven camel loads of golden coins and put them in front of Prophet (s); not like us, our hands are trembling. They go to a movie and pay ₤50. They buy iPhones for ₤300. To do what? To chat on WhatsApp! How many have WhatsApp? Everyone. So if it’s WhatsApp to send messages on the love of Prophet (s), no problem.

So Allah said, “Take from their wealth to clean them and purify them and then pray for them. That prayer after you cleaned them is peacefulness and relaxation to them.” Some people come and say, “We are unable to relax, we are depressed. I have pain, back pain, or this or that. What do to?” Immediately take sadaqa from your pocket and put it in a box by your door if you cannot go to the mosque, then you don’t have to wait. For that sadaqa at that moment, the Prophet (s) will immediately clean and purify and make you to relax by sending salaat on you, his prayer on you: inna salaataka sakanun lahum, “Your prayers will be peace and tranquility, a habitat for them.” It is like a house to put them in to relax; you will see your problem disappear, you will see your headache will go and your sickness will go. May Allah (swt) forgive us and bless us.

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

This Shaykh Yunus, I requested him to give me a piece of the Holy Hair of the Prophet (s). How many years ago was that? [Four.] He never hesitated. He said, “Take it all!” Would anyone do that, to say ‘take it all’? I said, “No, I will take half.” I took half. We cut it and Allah doubled it for him and made the Holy Hair of the Prophet (s) to grow up back more than its original length. This time I was looking at it and it is bigger; the last time it was the same size as what we cut, and now it is more, so we can cut more. And Allah has sent to him another one and tonight we are going to make ziyara inshaa-Allah. Tonight we are doing ziyaarah for barakah.
